Baby Love Parenting Program is a FREE attachment-based 4-week programs for parents/caregivers with babies up to 14 months old. We will explore the importance of attachment, how to help your baby feel secure as well as ways to help your baby (and you too) deal with stress. Registration for the program is ongoing. The Zone is a supportive, counsellor-facilitated positive mental health drop-in program for youth 12-17 with a focus on social activities, skill-building, and connecting youth to resources in their community. We have therapeutic activities including art, sports, and games that focus on positive coping skills and facilitate healthy relationships. On-site counselling is available to all youth. Dinner served weekly. This program is a drop in program.

The Virtual BIPOC Peer-Support Self-care Oasis group is a Peer Support Group for women and femme identifying as BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Colour) living with mental health challenges and looking for a place to share and discuss experiences, explore new tools together in a safe environment as a way of empowering and supporting each other. Come join a group of BIPOC individuals in a safe environment! BIPOC mental health matters! BIPOC matters! Take a 2-hour break from your busy schedule to nourish your self once per week! Your mental health matters! You matter! This group will be offered online via Zoom by CWCLN. Individuals will be able to join using the video and/or the phone functions. The facilitators are trained peer-supporters. Important: You are not required to be on camera during the group nor to share, except for the first few minutes so that we can confirm you are indeed part of the BIPOC community.

Family Spiral is a 2-evening education program for family members, friends and support persons who are concerned about someone experiencing problematic substance use, behavioural addiction or a related mental health issue. Family Spiral is an introduction to Rideauwood’s family and parent counselling services. Participants learn about addiction and how it affects families, while connecting with others who are experiencing concerns and challenges similar to their own.

Acu-Detox auricular acupuncture is used to support mental health and substance use recovery. Disposable needles are inserted into five acupuncture points on the ears while participants sit silently in a circle for 30 minutes. This practice is intended to create a peaceful quiet space for healing. It is intended to be used as an adjunct to counseling, education, medical support and support groups. Caregivers often experience many types of grief throughout the dementia journey: ongoing grief, anticipatory grief, complex grief, and end of life grief. In this peer support group, you will have the opportunity to meet others experiencing grief in dementia, share your story, gain, and give support, and learn more about the importance of grief in life. This group can help you process the complex feeling of grief with people on a similar journey.

Monthly drop-in group for parents and caregivers of transgender, non-binary, and gender diverse children, youth and young adults. In partnership with CHEO. Parents and caregivers meet to support one another and share their experiences and knowledge as they raise their gender diverse children. Participants share information and resources.

This 8-week program aims to support participants by providing information on perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. The group is led by two facilitators and works to build on and develop coping skills which can improve Perinatal Depression and/or Anxiety such as mindfulness, assertive communication, and cognitive behavioural therapy based tools. This program is open to people who are expecting, have given birth, or have adopted and who are noting the signs and symptoms of depression or anxiety, rooted in the transition to parenthood. Participation is by self-referral. This program includes an information session for people who are supporting participants. The session aims to provide support and strategies to help the participants and their family through the challenges of Perinatal Depression and/or Anxiety.

We want to offer support so that you do not lose yourself on this journey. These meetings will offer an opportunity to learn how you can develop skills to then help you cope and help your loved one choose recovery and most importantly, to meet with others who are walking/have walked similar journeys.
