The Virtual BIPOC Peer-Support Self-care Oasis group is a Peer Support Group for women and femme identifying as BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Colour) living with mental health challenges and looking for a place to share and discuss experiences, explore new tools together in a safe environment as a way of empowering and supporting each other. Come join a group of BIPOC individuals in a safe environment! BIPOC mental health matters! BIPOC matters! Take a 2-hour break from your busy schedule to nourish your self once per week! Your mental health matters! You matter! This group will be offered online via Zoom by CWCLN. Individuals will be able to join using the video and/or the phone functions. The facilitators are trained peer-supporters. Important: You are not required to be on camera during the group nor to share, except for the first few minutes so that we can confirm you are indeed part of the BIPOC community.

This respectful and safe space offers ACB community members living with mental health challenges a space to foster hope, encouragement, and shared resources that can improve their health overall.

Caregivers often experience many types of grief throughout the dementia journey: ongoing grief, anticipatory grief, complex grief, and end of life grief. In this peer support group, you will have the opportunity to meet others experiencing grief in dementia, share your story, gain, and give support, and learn more about the importance of grief in life. This group can help you process the complex feeling of grief with people on a similar journey.

This is a specialized peer Support Group for young caregivers. Topics discussed range from young caregiver issues such as the challenges of multiple responsibilities, such as paid employment, parenting and family relationships, to general caregiving for a person living with dementia.

Our caregiver peer support groups provide a safe environment to learn, share, express and help each other through mutual understanding and support. These groups are co-facilitated by an individual with lived experience with dementia, and a trained Dementia Society Care Coach.
